CPO & CMO Roles added to SendGrid C-Suite

SendGrid recently announced the appointment of Steve Sloan as Chief Product Officer and Scott Heimes as Chief Marketing Officer.

“SendGrid strengthened its executive team significantly in 2015 with the appointment of Yancey Spruill as CFO and COO, Craig Kaesas our VP of Engineering and now today with the announcement of Steve and Scott joining,” said Sameer Dholakia, CEO of SendGrid. “With these appointments, I firmly believe we now have one of the premier leadership teams in the SaaS market. The combined experience and skill set of this team will have a huge impact on the continued growth and acceleration of SendGrid in 2016 and for many years to come.”

As SendGrid’s Chief Product Officer, Steve Sloan is responsible for leading product strategy, UI/UX, and the development of SendGrid’s product roadmap. Prior to joining SendGrid, Steve led Marketo’s global product organization. Previously, Steve worked at Amazon, where he led product management for one of AWS’s emerging services and helped open the Silicon Valley development center.

Scott Heimes serves as SendGrid’s Chief Marketing Officer, where he is responsible for extending SendGrid’s brand, driving demand for its products and services and leading overall marketing operations. Scott oversees marketing, demand generation, corporate communications, partnerships & alliances and SendGrid’s community development team. Before joining SendGrid, Scott was the Chief Marketing Officer of Digital River. In prior positions, Scott served as a senior marketing executive at OptumHealth, a UnitedHealth Group company; Target Corporation and Target.com.
