The Dutch Data-Driven Marketing Association (DDMA) is set to make a significant shift in its approach to this year’s Email Marketing Automation Summit (EMAS). Scheduled for today, June 27, 2024, this edition of the EMAS will be conducted entirely in English for the first time, marking a transformative step.
The DDMA promises a program with valuable insight. EMAS will covers the latest developments through a series of informative sessions.
The Significance of an All-English Summit
The decision to switch to English reflects a broader trend in the industry, as more events aim to cater to an international audience. This move aligns with similar shifts seen in other prominent events, such as the French EMdays in September, which reportedly plans to increase its English-language content.
Impact on the Dutch Community
While this transition to English opens doors to a broader international audience, it also raises questions about its impact on the local Dutch community. For some, it may feel like a departure from the traditional Dutch-centric focus of the event. However, most I have spoken to see it as a positive evolution.
By adopting English, Dutch professionals can more easily exchange ideas with international counterparts, gaining new perspectives and insights that can drive innovation within their own practices.
Conclusion
The DDMA’s decision to conduct the 2024 EMAS entirely in English signifies a pivotal moment for the organisation.
Whilst we did reach out for comment, we were unable to secure one before going to press. We are wishing the organisation every success with their event today.
