Netcore adds best-seller and trending product feeds to email

Netcore has added Dynamic Product Feeds to its email editor, announced on 22 September. Marketers build a feed from best sellers, most-viewed, trending or newest products, or a custom selection, then attach it to a Product Block in an email template.

The template stays the same while the products in it change as the catalogue updates. Marketers can add catalogue filters and choose whether to show individual variants or whole product groups. For a retailer sending the same weekly promotion, that removes the job of swapping products by hand before every send.

The feature extends Netcore’s Product Picker, which already supported feeds filtered on attributes such as inventory, price and category. The new part is selection by shopper activity: sales, views and recency. Catalogues reach Netcore through its product information management tool, via Shopify or Magento plugins, XML or CSV files, and Netcore’s integration team switches the feature on.

Feeds refresh on the catalogue’s configured sync frequency, so the products shown are only as current as the last sync. Netcore has a separate tool for live data. Content Fetch, launched in August, calls a customer’s own systems at the moment of send for prices, stock levels and balances.

The feeds are available in email for now. The same week, Netcore brought the Product Block to AMP emails, with support for dynamic product feeds.
