Email Security Vendor xorlab Raises €5MN for European Expansion

Swiss email security company xorlab has raised €5 million in a Series A+ round led by existing investor Spicehaus Partners, with Grapha Holding, EquityPitcher Ventures and ZKB Start-up Finance also taking part. The round was announced on 1 September 2026.

The Zurich company sells inbound email security for enterprise environments, aimed at phishing and business email compromise. It says the money will fund expansion across Europe, starting with the DACH region, Benelux and the Nordics.

The pitch is sovereignty. xorlab says European organisations want to reduce their dependence on US-controlled security providers, and cites DORA and NIS2 as the regulatory pressure behind it. It offers on-premises deployment with local processing and storage, a hybrid option, or cloud hosted in European data centres and run by Europe-based staff.

Named customers include Julius Bär, Swisscom, Vontobel, G+D Netcetera and CERN. The company also claims six of the ten largest Swiss banks.

xorlab was founded in 2015 by Antonio Barresi and Matthias Ganz. Its Series A, CHF 6.1 million led by EquityPitcher Ventures, closed in 2021. An A+ round five years later, from existing investors, reads as an extension rather than a new stage. The release gives no valuation.
