Industry Leaders to Watch: Email Industries’ Strategic Appointments and Acquisitions

A new series of monthly blog posts from me Andrew Bonar. This month we focus on Email Industries. Today many people have taken notice of them as they announced Matthew Vernhout has joined the team as Principal Email Advisor.

A closer look shows that Email Industries has been making moves that have been surprising the industry for a while now. They recently acquired Inbox Expo from Emailexpert and are set for a sellout inaugural US Edition next week in Atlanta. They hired LB Blair as Head of Deliverability early last year, then Dennis Dayman as Advisor. Last month they announced Nick Hristov as Head of Product.

They are quietly staking their claim as a true email marketing and deliverability leader, in the process they seem to be setting the stage for something significant. I see disruptive innovation and industry-shaping strategies coming.

Their acquisition of the seminal email industry event, Inbox Expo, last year underlined the company’s commitment to fostering global conversations and demonstrates a commitment to not just thriving in the business, but also helping shape the narrative. They also recently joined the elite Global Email Alliance and the Emailexpert Marketing Consortium showing a strong commitment to collaboration as part of its future growth plans.

What Email Industries has achieved so far is I believe just the prelude, that is why I am nominating them as the first company to watch in this series of blog posts. I believe they will prove to be an org to learn from, and model after. Scott Hardigree, CEO at Email Industries has a comprehensive strategy, comprising top-tier personnel recruitment, industry alliances, and impactful acquisitions. I foresee the launch of pioneering solutions, marked by an agility and the deep understanding of the evolving market dynamics that he brings to the table.

Lets take a look at some of the more notable announcements since last year and what they might mean.

The hire of LB Blair early last year Email Industries solidified itself as the leading Deliverability Consulting Agency in North America. Appointing Dennis Daymann as Advisor showed a big picture view, an eye on security and indicates Email Industries has truly enterprise aspirations.

Just last month they announced they had hired Nick Hristov. Nick is an incredibly smart member of the email community with decades of experience in the space and brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Fresh Address, Amazon SES, Dmarcian. Nick’s career highlights include leading innovations in data quality control and email validation logistics, overseeing deliverability, and driving growth. His prior tenure as Co-Chair of the M3AAWG, showcases his broader contribution to the wider email and messaging community. A significant hire that suggests to me that Email Industries aims to beef up its SaaS offerings.

Todays announcement that they hired Matthew Vernhout as Principal Email Advisor only serves to ensure their place as dominating force in the space is further enhanced. Matthew is rightly highly regarded across the industry and brings decades’ of email marketing and deliverability experience, technical savvy, leadership skills and influence, not only through his blog Email Karma but with his commitment to a wide and far reaching range of industry organisations.

Matthew has been involved in a variety industry-leading initiatives, with contributions to M3AAWG, CAUCE, BIMI standards, and CASL legislation serving to solidify his leadership position.

Matthew’s appointment suggests a more substantial promise of Email Industries influencing the entire email marketing community, further illustrating their plans to stay ahead in the competitive world of email services and solutions.

Given this history of consistent disruptive and industry notable moves, Email Industries has established itself as a pace setter. Expect imminent landmark developments from the Email Industries stable – they will I believe be moving the needle not just for their business, but for the email industry as a whole.
