A Big Week for Email: Email Innovations World, M3AAWG & Deliverability Summit Shine Across Continents

Last week was a big week for the email industry. From the sun-soaked streets of Phoenix to the waterfront skyline of Vancouver and the Mediterranean calm of Alicante, three major events brought together senders, engineers, marketers, and platform builders for one of the busiest weeks on the calendar.

Email Innovations World — Phoenix, Arizona (June 2–5, 2025)

Hosted by: Only Influencers part of Rising Media

Email Innovations World (EIW) returned with deep dives into performance, personalization, and the smart use of AI behind the scenes. With workshops on June 2 and 5, and a conference running June 3–4, by all accounts the Phoenix edition didn’t disappoint for those that attended.

“Email deliverability is more about engagement than ever… If people aren’t opening or clicking, it’s not just bad metrics — it could mean your messages aren’t even landing in the inbox. Yikes.”
— Angie Weyman, Marketing Leader, Arizona

Other highlights included:

  • “Quiet AI” powering segmentation and QA rather than flashy generation
  • Panels on the psychology of surprise and novelty in content strategy
  • Technical insights on AMP, interactivity, and optimization

M3AAWG 64th General Meeting — Vancouver, Canada (June 2–5, 2025)

Hosted by: Messaging, Malware and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group

Held at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver, M3AAWG convened the world’s foremost experts in email abuse, security, and policy. Their recent blog post outlines new focus areas, including:

  • DNS and domain abuse prevention
  • AI-enhanced threat detection
  • Collaborative frameworks across email, SMS, and RCS

This wasn’t a marketing event, it was where core infrastructure meets policy, trust, and cross-industry defence strategies.

Deliverability Summit — Alicante, Spain (June 4–6, 2025)

Organised by: Emailexpert UK

Backed by hands-on expertise and peer-led strategy clinics, Deliverability Summit focused on real-world problem-solving. Held at the 5-star Hospes Amerigo, the event combined deep knowledge sharing with community connection.

“This event wasn’t just about talks and slides – it felt like being part of something bigger. Emailexpert has been building a solid community of professionals who genuinely want to learn from and support each other.”
— Ceren Cetin, Bloomberg

Sessions from Kate Barrett (eFocus Marketing) and Pierre Pignault (MailSoar) offered practical segmentation and authentication tips. Delegates also tackled live delivery issues in facilitated group clinics. The event was sponsored by Halon and GreenArrow Email.

Cross-Event Takeaways

  • Marketers are embracing curiosity-driven design and behind-the-scenes automation.
  • Security professionals are on high alert for evolving DNS and abuse tactics.
  • Infrastructure experts are addressing fragmented delivery challenges through collaboration.
